A wetas is endangered speech so people find wetas so they can help them. tree weta are in the hemideina genus in the family anostostomatidae, Endemic To N.Z. A weta can outweigh a mouse and a weta can live up up one to two years. 

Description
Wetas antennas are twice as long as their bodies  weta have six legs and they have a exoskeletons a cave weta is all red and a turned weta is all peach weta have two ears on their legs. 

Location 
some wetas live in trees they are carid Hemideina the  Hemideina live all through nz but not in otago and southland tree wetas mostly eat lichens,leaves, flowers, seed-heads,and fruit. 

Dynamics
when a weta shed it skins ,it look like a purple grape.  when a weta poos it turns into fertilizer if a weta breaks an antenna it can grow another one. A weta always keeps their antennae clean.
 tree wetas always enter their holes head first.
